Product details
GP645 is a general-purpose valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in the CSB GP series, with a rated voltage of 6Vdc; at the 20-hour rate, its nominal capacity is 4.5Ah. This model uses a VRLA construction with Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM), and gas recombination efficiency can reach up to 99%; it also uses pure lead construction and a proprietary elemental formulation, and is offered as a maintenance-free solution for float/standby power applications. At an ambient temperature of 25°C, the 20-hour rate discharge capacity is 4.58Ah, and the 8-hour rate discharge capacity is 4.24Ah (1.75VPC) or 4.18Ah (1.80VPC).
Regarding self-discharge: after 90 days of storage at 25°C, remaining capacity is still above 90%; it can be stored for up to 6 months, and with equalization charging, this can be extended to 10 months. It must be fully charged before use; when storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharge should be performed sooner. For voltage parameters, the float charge voltage at 25°C is 6.75 to 6.90Vdc, and the equalization charge voltage is 7.20 to 7.50Vdc. For current, the maximum charge current is 1.35A; the maximum discharge current is 60A for F1 terminals and 90A for F2 terminals, both under 5-second conditions; short-circuit current is 151A (5 seconds), and internal resistance is approximately 18.5mΩ.
Terminals are available in two options: F1 (Faston Tab 187) and F2 (Faston Tab 250). Battery length is 70.0±1.0mm, width is 48.0±1.0mm; F1 terminal height is 106.6±1.5mm, F2 terminal height is 107.5±1.5mm; weight is 0.87kg. The case material is ABS (UL 94-HB); a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is available upon request.
The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533). The nominal operating temperature is 25°C; the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C. Under 25°C float/standby conditions, design life can reach 5 years; under the Eurobat (20°C) standard, it is 3 to 5 years commercial-grade life.
Therefore, the GP645 is suitable for the general-purpose scenarios defined by the GP series: security systems, emergency lighting, medical equipment, etc., can all use it as a backup power source. Its maintenance-free, low self-discharge, and float/standby design make it suitable for applications requiring continuous standby power. To keep the battery in normal operating condition, users should schedule charging and storage appropriately based on ambient temperature and depth of discharge.
