Product details

The GP series is officially classified as a general-purpose VRLA battery product line, targeting applications such as security, emergency lighting, medical equipment, and more; the CSB GP1272 is one of the models in this series. The GP1272 product type falls within the 6V and 12V top-terminal VRLA-AGM range. Its rated voltage is 12Vdc; under test conditions of 25°C and 1.75VPC, the nominal capacity at the 20-hour rate is 7.2Ah. Also at 25°C and 1.75VPC, the measured capacity is 7.46Ah at the 8-hour rate and 8.24Ah at the 20-hour rate; when conditions are switched to 25°C and 1.80VPC, the 8-hour rate is 7.37Ah. The battery uses a valve-regulated sealed construction and features Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, with gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%; it also uses a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation elements. Because it has float standby characteristics, it can be used in backup power applications. Electrical parameters are as follows: maximum charge current is 2.16A, maximum discharge current is 130, short-circuit current is 276A, and internal resistance is 23.0mΩ. At 25°C, the float voltage is 13.5 to 13.8Vdc, and the equalization voltage is 14.4 to 15.0Vdc. In terms of self-discharge, after 90 days at 25°C, the remaining capacity is above 90%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months at 25°C; it should be fully charged before use, and if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charging should be advanced accordingly. Dimensions and terminals: length 150.9±2.0mm, width 64.8±1.0mm, height 98.6±1.0mm, weight 2.40kg. Terminal type is F2 Faston Tab 250. The case uses ABS (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is also available upon request. Operating temperature: nominal 25°C; discharge range -15°C to 50°C, charge and storage range -15°C to 40°C. Under 25°C float standby conditions, design life can reach 5 years, and the Eurobat (20°C) standard commercial life is 3 to 5 years. The product is manufactured according to IEC 61056-1/2:2012 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). With its maintenance-free design, AGM technology, and float standby capability, the GP1272 is suitable for general-purpose scenarios requiring stable DC backup power.
