Product details
CSB XPL6700 belongs to the XPL family and is a 12V top-terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) battery. This family is positioned as high-capacity pure lead VRLA products, targeting applications that use large-format cells and require long-duration backup power; according to official information, data center uninterruptible power supplies are an application area. This model is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and has obtained UL1989 recognition (MH14533).
Structurally and technically, the battery uses a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid architecture with absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, and its gas recombination efficiency can reach up to 99%; it normally requires no maintenance. Its pure lead construction and proprietary formulation allow it to be used in high-rate UPS and float standby power applications. Its length, width, and height are 343.0±2.5 mm, 170.0±2.0 mm, and 275.7±2.5 mm respectively, with a weight of 47.90 kg. The I2 threaded lead-alloy terminals can accept M6 bolts, with torques of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m respectively. The case uses PP (UL 94-HB) material; a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is also available on request.
Electrically, the DC voltage is 12 Vdc; at 25°C and 9.60V per battery, the 5-minute rate nominal capacity is 6700W. Under 1.67 VPC, the cell power is 1466.67 W/cell at 30 seconds, 1054.83 W/cell at 5 minutes, and 651.83 W/cell at 15 minutes. The maximum charge current is 55.80 A, the maximum discharge current is 1350 A, the short-circuit current is 4018 A, and the internal resistance is 2.33 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalization charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery.
Temperature and life are as follows: nominal temperature 25°C; discharge can be at -15°C to 50°C, and charging and storage can be at -15°C to 40°C. When float-charged at 25°C, the design life is up to 10 years; under the Eurobat (20°C) standard, it is greater than 12 years, placing it in the ultra-long-life category. At 25°C, self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days; it can be stored for 6 months, and with equalization charging, the storage period can reach 10 months. Fully charge before use; if the storage temperature is above 25°C, charge earlier.
High-capacity cells, pure lead construction, and high-rate discharge capability make the XPL6700 suitable for float standby scenarios such as data center UPS systems requiring long-duration backup power. When operated at 25°C with the float and equalization voltages listed above, its design life and discharge performance can be realized.
