Product details
XPL2700 is a member of CSB's XPL product line. It uses a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid design, has a voltage of 12V, and its terminals are located on top. Its separator uses an absorptive glass mat (AGM) design with a pure lead construction, and gas recombination efficiency can reach up to 99%. The series is positioned for applications requiring large cell capacity and long-duration backup power; data center UPS is the official target application.
In terms of construction and mechanical specifications, the XPL2700 case uses PP (UL 94-HB); a flame-retardant 94-V0 version can also be supplied if required. The terminals are I2 threaded lead alloy type, compatible with M6 bolts; tightening torque is 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. Product dimensions are 228.0±2.5 mm long, 138.4±1.5 mm wide, and 206.3±2.5 mm high, with a weight of 18.52 kg (40.82 lb).
In terms of electrical performance, the XPL2700 has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 2700W at the 5-minute rate, tested at 9.60V per unit and 25°C. Under conditions of 25°C and 1.67 VPC, power per cell is 719.17 W/cell at 30 seconds, 463.17 W/cell at 5 minutes, and 252.67 W/cell at 15 minutes. Maximum charge current is 22.50 A, maximum discharge current is 650 A, short-circuit current is 1680 A, and internal resistance is 4.20 mΩ.
Charging and temperature: At 25°C, float voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and equalization voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. Nominal operating temperature is 25°C; discharge is allowed from -15°C to 50°C, and charging and storage are allowed from -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days. It can be stored for 6 months at 25°C; with equalization charging, this can be extended to 10 months. Fully charge before use; when storage temperature is above 25°C, recharge earlier.
The battery is maintenance-free and suitable for high-rate UPS and float standby power applications. It is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). Under 25°C float standby conditions, design life can reach 10 years; under Eurobat 20°C conditions, it exceeds 12 years and is classified as a long-life type.
