Product details
In the GPL series, the CSB GPL12800 is officially classified as the long-life version of the GP series. It uses a 12V top-terminal design, is a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery, features AGM technology, and is mainly intended for general-purpose backup power applications. First, the capacity data: at 1.75 VPC @25°C and 20-hour rate, the nominal capacity is 80 Ah; at 8-hour rate and 1.75 VPC @25°C, it is 75.04 Ah; at the same temperature, 20-hour rate at 1.75 VPC corresponds to 80.80 Ah; and 8-hour rate at 1.80 VPC is 73.36 Ah.
Electrically, the maximum charge current for this model is 24.00 A, the maximum discharge current is 800 A, the short-circuit current is 1933 A, and the internal resistance is 4.0 mΩ. At 25°C, the float voltage range is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalization voltage range is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The terminal uses an I2 threaded lead-alloy type and can be used with M6 bolts; its torque specifications include 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf·in, or 5.10±1.0 N·m.
Dimensions and weight are as follows: length 261.0±2.5 mm, width 168.5±2.0 mm, height 213.5±2.5 mm, and total weight 25.60 kg (56.42 lb). The case is made of PP material and complies with UL 94-HB; a flame-retardant 94-V0 version can also be provided if required. For temperature adaptability, the nominal temperature is 25°C (77°F), discharge can be performed from -15°C to 50°C, and charging and storage are in the -15°C to 40°C range.
In terms of technical features, the battery uses a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid design and absorbed glass mat (AGM), achieves 99% gas recombination efficiency, and is maintenance-free; the pure lead construction combined with a proprietary element formulation targets float/standby power applications. Under 25°C float conditions, the design life is 10 years; according to the Eurobat (20°C) standard, it exceeds 12 years and is classified as Very Long Life. Regarding self-discharge, it is less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C, and it can be stored for up to 6 months; it should be fully charged before being put into service; if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, earlier charging is required. It is manufactured according to IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533).
