Product details

The GPL12400 belongs to CSB's GPL product line and can be considered the long-life version of the GP series, mainly serving general-purpose float-charge backup power applications. This battery is a 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery and uses AGM, i.e., absorbent glass mat technology; gas recombination efficiency is up to 99%, and it is maintenance-free by design. Its construction uses pure lead, is manufactured in accordance with IEC 61056-1/2:2012, and is recognized to UL1989 (MH14533). Regarding capacity, the GPL12400 has a nominal capacity of 40Ah at 1.75 VPC, 25°C, 20hr-rate. At 25°C, its 8-hour rate capacity at 1.75 VPC is 40.32Ah, its 20-hour rate capacity at 1.75 VPC is 44.40Ah, and its 8-hour rate capacity at 1.80 VPC is 39.60Ah. In terms of current, the maximum charging current is 12.00A, the maximum discharge current is 400A, and the short-circuit current is 1182A; internal resistance is 8.5 mΩ. Dimensions are: length 197.0±2.0 mm, width 165.0±2.0 mm, height 170.4±2.0 mm, and weight 12.92 kg. The terminal type is an I2 threaded lead-alloy terminal, compatible with M6 bolts; terminal torque is 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm, equivalent to 44.9±9.0 Lbf·in or 5.10±1.0 N·m. The case uses ABS (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant 94-V0 version is available on request. For charging and operating parameters, at 25°C the float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalization voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. Nominal operating temperature is 25°C; discharge is permissible from -15°C to 50°C, and charging and storage are permissible from -15°C to 40°C. For self-discharge, less than 10% after 90 days of storage; at 25°C it can be stored for up to 6 months, and must be fully charged before use; if storage temperature is higher than 25°C, recharge ahead of time. Under 25°C float-charge conditions, the GPL12400 has a maximum design life of 10 years; according to the Eurobat 20°C standard, it is in the 10/12-year long-life class. It is suitable for float-charge backup power applications, using long life and maintenance-free characteristics to meet general-purpose standby power needs.
