CSB XPL8000FT is a member of the XPL-FT series and is rated as a 12V front terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery. Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology is used, with gas recombination efficiency up to 99%; a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation are also used. High-rate UPS and data center backup power are the target applications for this series, and the product is classified as a front terminal pure lead VRLA battery; the officially designated application is data center uninterruptible power supply.

Self-discharge over 90 days (25°C) is less than 10%; it can be stored for 6 months, or up to 10 months with equalization charging. It should be fully charged before use; if storage temperature is above 25°C, charging must be carried out sooner.
