Product details
For large emergency and telecommunications applications, the CSB MSV-650 is positioned as a 2V VRLA-AGM valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in the MSV series, with its official application area being telecommunications; this series belongs to the VRLA 2V high-capacity, long-life telecommunications battery series.
This battery uses a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid construction and absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, with gas recombination efficiency up to 99%, and is maintenance-free. Its pure lead construction and proprietary element formulation are intended for high-capacity float backup power applications. Manufacturing follows IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized to UL1989 (MH14533). In terms of design life, it can reach 15 years in float service at 25°C and is greater than 12 years under the Eurobat (20°C) standard, corresponding to a very long life classification.
Dimensions are: length 307.0±2.5 mm, width 171.0±2.0 mm, height 339.0±2.5 mm, weight 41.40 kg. The case uses flame-retardant ABS and complies with UL 94-V0. For operating temperature, nominal temperature is 25°C; discharge is permitted from -15°C to 50°C; charging and storage are permitted from -15°C to 40°C.
For electrical parameters, nominal voltage is 2 Vdc. At 25°C, nominal capacity is 650 Ah at the 10-hour rate and 1.80 VPC; capacity is 692.00 Ah at the 20-hour rate and 1.75 VPC; 636.80 Ah at the 8-hour rate and 1.75 VPC; and 624.00 Ah at the 8-hour rate and 1.80 VPC. Maximum charge current is 195.00 A, maximum discharge current is 3900 A, and internal resistance is 0.38 mΩ. Float voltage is 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery (25°C), equalization voltage is 2.35 Vdc/battery (25°C). Terminals are I4 threaded copper alloy terminals, accept M8 bolts; terminal torque is 126±25 Kgf·cm, 109±22 Lbf·in, or 12.3±2.5 N·m.
Storage characteristics include low self-discharge: after 90 days at 25°C, self-discharge is less than 10%; it can be stored for up to 6 months at 25°C, and must be fully charged before use; if storage temperature is above 25°C, it should be charged earlier. With these characteristics, it is suitable for applications requiring long-term float backup, such as telecommunications.
