Product details
In the CSB MSV series, the MSV-1000 is a 2V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery. Its technology uses AGM absorbent glass mat, with gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and the entire battery is designed to be maintenance-free. The series is positioned for large-capacity, long-life emergency and telecom applications; the officially listed application area for the MSV-1000 is Telecom.
Operating voltage and temperature limits are as follows: at 25°C, float charge must be maintained at 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery, and equalization charge voltage is 2.35 Vdc/battery. Nominal operating temperature is 25°C; the allowable discharge range is -15°C to 50°C, while the allowable charge and storage range is -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge remains below 10% after 90 days at 25°C; the maximum storage period at 25°C is 6 months, and it must be fully charged before being put into service. If the storage temperature is higher than 25°C, charging should be carried out earlier than usual.
For capacity data, at 25°C and 1.80 VPC, the MSV-1000 has a nominal capacity of 1000Ah at the 10-hour rate. When tested at 25°C and 1.75 VPC, the 8-hour rate is 984.00Ah and the 20-hour rate is 1030.00Ah; at 25°C and 1.80 VPC, the 8-hour rate is 960.00Ah. Internal resistance is measured at 0.38 mΩ, maximum charge current is 300.00A, and maximum discharge current is 6000A.
In terms of construction, the MSV-1000 uses pure lead construction and a proprietary formulation, and its flame-retardant ABS case meets UL 94-V0. The terminals are I4 threaded copper alloy terminals that accept M8 bolts; their torque specifications are 126±25 Kgf·cm, 109±22 Lbf·in, or 12.3±2.5 N·m. Product dimensions are 471.0±2.5mm (L) × 171.0±2.0mm (W) × 339.0±2.5mm (H), and weight is 64.40kg.
For life and compliance, under float standby service at 25°C, the MSV-1000 has a maximum design life of up to 15 years; under Eurobat 20°C conditions, it is greater than 12 years, with a rating of Very Long Life. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and has obtained UL1989 recognition (MH14533). Therefore, it can be used in backup power applications requiring long-term float standby, such as telecommunications.
