Product details
MU900S is a 2V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in the CSB MU product line. Its separator uses absorbent glass fiber (AGM), achieving up to 99% gas recombination; no water addition is required during normal operation, and maintenance needs are low. The series evolved from MSV and MSJ, mainly serving larger-capacity float standby requirements, and its officially listed application is telecommunications.
Capacity and current: At 25°C and 1.80VPC, the nominal capacity at the 10-hour rate reaches 900Ah; at the same 25°C, the 8-hour rate at 1.75VPC is 888.00Ah and the 20-hour rate is 1032.00Ah; the 8-hour rate at 1.80VPC is 872.00Ah. Maximum charge current is 270.00A, maximum discharge current is 5400A, short-circuit current is 10580A, and internal resistance is 0.36 mΩ.
Temperature and charging parameters: nominal operating temperature is 25°C; discharge is allowed from -15°C to 50°C, while charging and storage are allowed from -15°C to 40°C. For float charging at 25°C, the voltage per battery should be set at 2.21 Vdc to 2.25 Vdc; for equalizing charge, it is 2.35 Vdc per battery. Self-discharge performance: when stored at 25°C for 90 days, loss is less than 10%, and storage can last up to 6 months; fully charge before putting into operation; if the storage environment exceeds 25°C, recharge is required earlier.
Materials and mechanical structure: The battery is made with pure lead and a proprietary formula; the case uses flame-retardant polypropylene, meeting UL 94-V0; the terminals are I3 threaded copper alloy, can be fitted with M10 bolts, and the torque specification is 249±50 Kgf·cm, 216±43 Lbf·in, or 24.4±4.9 N·m. External dimensions are 303.0±3.0 mm long, 172.0±3.0 mm wide, and 497.0±3.0 mm deep; weight is 55.90 kg (123.20 lb).
Life and compliance: Design life under 25°C float standby conditions can reach 20 years; according to the Eurobat 20°C standard, it is an ultra-long-life product exceeding 12 years. Manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004, recognized under UL1989, file number MH14533. Therefore, DC power supply systems such as telecommunications that require high capacity and long-duration float standby can include it in selection.
