Product details
CSB MU1000S is a 2V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery from the MU series, intended for larger-capacity float backup power applications such as telecommunications. It uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology, achieves gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and is maintenance-free. Manufacturing complies with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and it is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). The MU series evolved from MSV and MSJ.
In terms of electrical parameters, the MU1000S can withstand a maximum charge current of 300.00A and a maximum discharge current of 6000A, with an internal resistance of 0.31 mΩ. Its nominal capacity is 1000Ah, corresponding to test conditions of 25°C, 1.80VPC, and the 10-hour rate; under other conditions, capacity is 1016.00Ah at the 8-hour rate and 1.75VPC, 1040.00Ah at the 20-hour rate and 1.75VPC, and 976.00Ah at the 8-hour rate and 1.80VPC.
In terms of dimensions and construction, the battery is 303.0±3.0mm long, 172.0±3.0mm wide, and 497.0±3.0mm deep, with a weight of 62.50kg. The case is made of flame-retardant polypropylene and meets UL 94-V0; internally, it has a pure lead construction and contains proprietary formulation elements. The terminals use I3 threaded copper alloy and can accept M10 bolts, with torque of 249±50 Kgf·cm, 216±43 Lbf·in, or 24.4±4.9 N·m.
For the operating environment, the nominal temperature is 25°C; discharge can be performed from -15°C to 50°C, while charging and storage allow -15°C to 40°C. At 25°C, float voltage must be maintained at 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery, and equalization voltage is 2.35 Vdc/battery. Self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days of storage at 25°C, and storage is possible for up to 6 months; the battery should be fully charged before reuse, and if storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charge earlier.
In terms of service life, the MU1000S has a design life of up to 20 years in float standby service at 25°C; according to the Eurobat standard, it is greater than 12 years at 20°C, placing it in the very long life category. For scenarios such as telecommunications that require high-capacity float backup power, it provides stable backup power to systems in a 2V cell format.
