Product details

In CSB's XHT series, the XHT8000FT is a 12V front terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery. It uses an AGM absorbent glass mat separator and a proprietary grid design; gas recombination efficiency can reach 99%, and it also incorporates pure lead construction and Catalist 2X proprietary additive technology. Its construction is maintenance-free, and the case material is impact-resistant PC-ABS flame-retardant material, meeting UL 94-V0. It is suitable for high-rate, high-temperature backup requirements and mission-critical power in demanding environments. XHT8000FT dimensions are: length 558.0±2.5 mm, width 126.0±1.5 mm, height 325.0±2.5 mm, weight 66.6 kg. The terminal is an I2 thread lead alloy terminal to accept M6 bolt; torque values are 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. For design life, it is 12+ years at 25°C float charge and 10 years at 35°C float charge. Discharge temperature range covers -40°C to 65°C; charge and storage temperatures are also both -40°C to 65°C. Electrical parameters are as follows: nominal voltage 12 Vdc; nominal capacity at 5min-rate is 8000W (9.60V per PCS @ 25°C). Per-cell wattage at 1.67 VPC is: 1831.17 W/cell at 30 seconds, 1287.17 W/cell at 5 minutes, and 821.50 W/cell at 15 minutes. Maximum charge current 66.70 A, maximum discharge current 1660 (5sec), short-circuit current 4570 A, internal resistance 2.17 mΩ. At 25°C, float voltage is 13.5 - 13.8 Vdc/battery, and equalization voltage is 14.4 - 15.0 Vdc/battery. For self-discharge, after 90 days at rest at 25°C, self-discharge is less than 10%; it can be stored for 6 months, and if equalization charging is added, the storage period can be extended to 10 months. It should be fully charged before use; when storage temperature is above 25°C, charge it in advance. Manufacturing standards include IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and UL1989 (MH14533); it is also UL 1973 Recognized (MH66728). Its official application area is data center uninterruptible power supplies, and it can serve as backup power for mission-critical scenarios. For installation and maintenance, first set the charging equipment to the float and equalization voltage ranges described above; when tightening M6 bolt connections, observe the terminal torque requirements, and neither charge current nor discharge current may exceed the upper limits. The storage environment should be close to 25°C, and regular supplementary charging should be performed to maintain battery performance. This battery is a valve-regulated sealed maintenance-free design and requires no water replenishment under normal use; it is suitable for backup power systems such as data center UPS that require high-rate discharge and high-temperature resistance.
